I know what you’re thinking — another giveaway?! What’s going on with me? Is my heart just so full as a result of today’s gushy swoonfest of a holiday?
If you’re looking for the truth, I just happened to have a few cool opportunities fall into my lap at around the same time. So, let’s do this thing!
About a month ago, I loudly announced I was embarking upon a mission to see every Oscar-nominated film before February 24. JC really shot me the side eye on this one — after all, the girl who hadn’t seen The Shawshank Redemption* until the ripe age of 23 could hardly be considered a film critic. But heck, I was going to give it a shot, short attention span and all.
*True facts – I had to google “Morgan Freeman prison movie” in order to remember the name of that flick. Somewhere, my husband is screaming at the top of his lungs.
So far I’ve knocked out about half the list, and I’m hoping to get a few more under my belt before the big show. So, when the party & snackery fairies over at Special K came knocking, my interest was instantly piqued.

Favorite pick for this year is Argo for Best Picture. I hope it takes the cake. I’m missing the years Tom Hanks was nominated for Oscars, he needs to get back into the picture.

My favorite Oscar winning movie of all time is Annie Hall. Which is odd because my favorite movie is Star Wars, and Annie Hall beat Star Wars. This year though it’s Argo…the only one I’ve seen.
I’m seeing Silver Linings Playbook this evening and have heard such great things- would love to see Jennifer Lawrence win an award! Definitely looking forward to having my girls over for wine and apps to watch the show next Sunday:)
I love Titanic and saw it numerous times in the theater! The best movie ever in my opinion and quite the iconic love story!

Oh….I love seeing what everyone is wearing! So fun to watch and see who is there! As for the movies….I think it will be Lincoln or Argo! But, there are quite a few movies on the list that I have not seen….

My favorite movie of all times is Titanic without a doubt! I remembered watching the Oscars the year it got nominated and jumping up and down for every win they took. My favorite actress is Reese Whitherspoon even though she hasn’t been nominated for an Oscar in a while I think she is a terrific actress and I love her charm. I didn’t really watched many of the movies nominated this year, funny thing, I know all the ones nominated for animated film but not the other ones, can you tell I am a mommy? I do get excited every year about the red carpet, Love the gorgeous dresses and the fashion mistakes are so fun!

I really hope “Silver Linings Playbook” wins! I absolutely loved that movie. It’s my new favorite because I don’t think it’s a run of the mill rom-com-dram… clearly, since it’s in the running. Jennifer Lawrence is flawless in my opinion, so she’d be my favorite actress. And a little Bradley Cooper in there doesn’t hurt either.
