21 Days of Yoga

Lately I’ve been looking for a bit of a kick in the pants when it comes to exercise. I have a pretty good handle on the clean eating front (I’m 21 days into my 30 day Paleo Challenge!), but for much of January I haven’t succeeded in digging out the inner gusto necessary for a solid gym plan.

And then it hit me. A co-worker recently told me I have two speeds: I’m all in, or I ain’t doin’ it. While this tends to result in positive results in the workplace because I tend to set my mind to things and bulldoze through until they are complete, maybe things like working out and blogging don’t need to be so cut and dry. I find I get a bit down on myself when I don’t hit the gym every day or miss a few days of blogging – and, unfortunately, the feelings sometimes push me further away from both.

So as for blogging, I’d like to commit to a solid Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule, instead of holding myself to “like OMG every.single.workday.”

As for working out, this morning when I found out about tonight’s wind chill advisory I immediately sought out some at-home options. As fate would have it, I stumbled upon this!

21 day challenge – a little yoga every day! I just discovered yogadownload.com and, with a ton of free yoga sessions plus the ability to download sessions for a few bucks and keep them forever, I think this challenge is just what I need to jumpstart my practice.

I guess I am all about the challenges lately.

Who’s in?! Any yogis want to get their zen on with me? Namaste!
